Richie in Vegas

3 New Slots – Bandits, Vegas, and Mexico

This is another post that’s going to whizz you through a few new games as I catch up with myself after a month of heavy slotting.

July saw a fair number of new slots and a couple of them were a pretty big deal. I think I have to admit that Thundercats was my favourite new game this month, and not just because I’m a big kid at heart. I loved the gameplay and I don’t think I’ve ever seen so many features on a slot.

Anyway, the following are a little more low key but no less worthy of some attention, and they take us nicely into August in terms of release dates.

Let’s dive in.

Richie in Vegas

Richie in Vegas LogoFresh off the line from Iron Dog Studios is Richie in Vegas, a 5 reel 20 payline game that is unmistakable in its setting.

Richie himself is the man of the hour, appearing as the top paying symbol at 20x for 5 on a line, and there is also a wild that can expand if it lands in the right place.

Land the special symbol for the really juicy stuff. This will activate the Wheel of Chance, which will give you either a cash prize, 6 free spins, extra wilds on reels 2, 3 and 4, or 2 wild reels.

It’s the free spins you want as this can bump you up to the VIP wheel for added prizes, leading on to the High Rollers Wheel which can pay out 2000x in the right circumstances.

RTP: 96.24% / Variance: Medium / Stakes: 20p – £50

Sticky Bandits: Wild Return

Sticky Bandits Wild Return LogoMore wild west fun from Quickspin. The game engine for this sequel uses 5 reels and 40 paylines, colossal symbols, and even a slot within a slot.

This one has a lovely design, with graphics that straddle the modern day and the days of the old west.

Three scatters activate the Lucky Shot Free Spins bonus, where after each of the 7 free spins, if a bandit has landed a shot will be fired. Hitting a regular symbol will turn it wild; hitting a wild will turn it sticky for the remaining free spins.

The old style saloon 3 reel slot is the highlight for me though, triggered by landing the one armed bandit symbol on reel 5. Not only is it great fun to dip back in time and play, but it contains a jackpot that could multiply a win by up to 500x.

RTP: 96.28% / Variance: High / Stakes: 20p – £100

Pinata Bucks

Pinata Bucks LogoMexico’s most famous export after taco’s and sombrero’s, this game takes its inspiration from the poor battered Pinata.

It’s a Lightning Box title played on a rather strange grid. A 4×4 block sits in the middle with a 2×3 ether side of it. Technically then it’s a 5 reel slot as the 4×4 counts as reel 3, and the game offers 1,296 ways to win.

Land 5 or more bonus symbols on reel 3 during any spin and you trigger the Lock Spins bonus. During this free spins round, if you land any blue pinatas they lock in place for the remainder of the feature and are smashed apart at the end to reveal cash prizes. If you manage to land a full square of them you could trigger a jackpot worth 500x your stake.

That’s great and everything, but you can potentially win 109,750x on every spin anyway, so this is one well stuffed pinata whichever way you look at it.
