It’s been a good month for iSoftBet who have released two new games that are both really good in terms of potential payouts and in terms of gameplay.
iSoftBet are a great developer, but they aren’t often mentioned in the same breath as some of the very biggest developers. Many would argue that the likes of NetEnt and Microgaming have got lazy and are not as good as they used to be, surviving more on reputation than on current caliber.
Well, if iSoftBet continue to perform in the way they have lately they may well be knocking at the door of those developers with more global clout.
Anyway, let’s have a look at these games shall we?
Aztec Gold Megaways
Yes, it’s another Megaways slot, but it’s a really good one – even those players fed up with the Megaway’s mechanic should enjoy playing Aztec Gold.
It’s the Cash Respin feature that makes this game so enjoyable, and you can trigger it by landing 5 or more sun disc scatter symbols across the reels. These will display a multiplier number and they turn sticky as the 3 respins start. Any further scatters during respins will reset the respins to 3 as well as turning sticky themselves, so you build them up as you go. Fill a reel and you also get the multiplier displayed at the top of it (up to 7x).
The scatters can also display the minor, major or mega jackpots, which are 30x, 100x, and 1000x respectively. There’s potential for big wins here then, and you can even get up to 19,200x in the base game.
It’s a 6 reel game with an RTP of 95.99%, accepting bets of 10p to £10 per spin. I’d say it’s medium to high volatility, but you should trigger the feature more often than you might imagine.
Hot Spin Deluxe
This is a remake to be fair, but it’s a good one, a classic style slot with a modern twist if you like. The reason I say this is that although the base game is fairly simple, there are a heck of a lot of extras that trigger fairly often I found, despite it being a high volatility game, making it feel like a few different slots in one.
There is a lot of potential in this new Deluxe incarnation of the game, as they have added two additional features to an already impressive list. Firstly, the Hot Spin Reel could trigger at random during the base game on any spin and grant you one of the features listed below, secondly, the game can give you up to a 10x multiplier on any Hot Spin feature.
Those features are:
- Extra Wilds – 5,7, or 10 wilds added.
- Mega Reel – turns reels 1-3 or 2-4 into one giant symbol.
- Mystery Symbols – 6, 8 or 12 question mark symbols will turn into the same symbol. They stay in the same place for each free spin.
- Synchronized Reels – 2 or 3 reels will synch up and show the same symbols.
- Wild Reels – Up to 3 reels stacked with wilds.
- Ultra Reel – The whole grid is effectively one giant symbol.
As you can imagine, if you get an 10x multiplier on any of those features you will be laughing all the way to the bank.
The game also looks and sounds fantastic. The soundtrack and FX have been perfectly matched to the style and design of the game, and it’s really classy visually.
