There seems to be a taste for the Wild West in the slot world at the moment.
It’s been a long time since the 2009 smash hit Dead or Alive landed at online casino’s and it’s been a bit of a classic ever since. The high volatility and potential for big wins had players spinning the reels as though they were six-shooters, and now, finally, a decade later, a sequel is on its way.
Due for release on April 24th, the newest biggest baddest slot in town will be a 5 reel x 3 row 9 payline tough guy offering the chance to win 100,000x your bet. To make it more interesting players can trigger three different free spins features by landing 3 or more of the scatter symbol:
Train Heist – Multiplier rises by 1 plus 1 extra freespin whenever a wild lands anywhere on the reels. At 16x multiplier 5 extra freespins are given.
High Noon Saloon – All wilds turn into multiplier wilds.
Old Saloon – All wins are x2 and each sticky wild activates 5 extra freespins. 2 wilds on the same reel will turn to multiplier wilds.
Whichever option you go for will include 12 freespins, and while these cannot be re-triggered there are ways to squeeze more out of them as you can see above. This is the biggest change from the original.
The original gang of Billy Kidd, Belle Starr, Jesse James, Della Rose, and Apache Kid all make a welcome return looking better than ever before with updated graphics, in fact, the base game is almost exactly the same visuals aside, including the RTP of 96.80%.
There’s certainly a lot of chatter about the upcoming release, and it does sound like another hit, but as we all know the proof is in the playing, so I’m looking forward to getting my hands on it and staring down the barrel myself.
